Our youngest children beautifully began Holy Week by celebrating Palm Sunday, reminding us of Jesus’ joyful arrival as a loving and peaceful King who came to save us.
Year 2 and Year 3 continued our Holy Week journey by powerfully retelling how Jesus cleansed the temple, showing deep understanding and reverence for its message about faith and prayer.
Year 4 thoughtfully led us through the story of the Last Supper, helping us reflect on Jesus’ intimate sacrifice and His call to remember Him.
Year 5 movingly led us into the Garden of Gethsemane, portraying Jesus’ sorrow, loneliness, and humanity as His disciples could not stay awake with Him.
Year 6 powerfully portrayed the Stations of the Cross, helping us reflect on Jesus’ suffering, love, and sacrifice with great depth and reverence.

During the final week of the half term our school community joined together to re-enact and create artwork of the events of Holy Week. Our School Choir even visited a local residents home to share this through song and then spent the morning with the residents playing board games and completing Spring crafts with them. Today, joined by Father Dawid, we finished the week with a wonderful Stations of the Cross Service led by our Y4, Y5 and Y6 pupils.
From all of us at St. Patrick's as we remember the sacrifice Jesus made for us, may your heart be filled with peace, joy and the beauty of new beginnings. 💜

✨ Our school began Holy Week together in church, where children from Reception to Year 6, alongside staff and families, acted out the Passion of Jesus. ✝️
🌿 Each day, we continued our journey through Holy Week:
Year 3 brought joy to 🌿Palm Sunday🌿, waving palms as Jesus entered Jerusalem on a humble donkey.
✨Year 4 shared the Last Supper, reminding us of love and service as Jesus washed His disciples’ feet and spoke of betrayal.
🙏 Year 5 reflected on Jesus’ time in the Garden of Gethsemane, showing His prayer, courage, and arrest.
✝️Year 6 led us through the Stations of the Cross, walking with Jesus in His suffering and sacrifice.
💜 Although this journey is emotional, we hold onto hope and remember the joy of Easter to come.
